Team Selection
7th & 8th Grade – Open to all 7th and 8th grade boys and girls.
5th & 6th Grade – Open to all 5th and 6th grade boys and girls.

Middle of March-Middle of May
Meet participation
Participation is based upon effort and attendance at practice. All athletes are placed in events at the coach’s discretion.
If the student athlete has two (2) consecutive unexcused absences, he/she is not to participate in the next meet.
Events
100-, 200-, and 400-meter Dash
800- & 1600-meter Run
4X100-, 4X200- & 4X400-meter Relay
Shot Put & Discus
Long Jump, High Jump, and Triple Jump
Hurdles (7th and 8th grades only)
Practice Time
The team will have time allocated up to two times a week. Times will be established once the coach has selected the practice times.
Uniform
Students must wear St. Peter Team shirt ($7) and shorts ($13). Uniform purchase is required the first season, but uniforms may be reused in following seasons as long as they are clean and are of appropriate length. New uniforms may be purchased from the athletic director. This is kept at the end of the season.
Students are required to wear team warm-ups-- which are provided -- to all meets. Uniform Deposit is required for the track warm-up. This is returned at the end of the season.
Spikes are not mandatory, but may be worn to meets. Spikes are not allowed at practices/meets held at Helias Catholic High School.
